Every home we buy or sell, we give back — a $1,000 grant awarded to a student in the community where the home was purchased or sold, selected by the buyer or seller themselves.

The grant process, step by step

A Property Closes
Every time SC & CO. LLC closes a transaction — whether a buyer purchases or a seller sells — a $1,000 grant becomes available in that home's community.

Students Apply
Eligible students from that community apply within the 60-day window, answering one key question: Why should they be awarded this grant?

Buyer or Seller Decides
The home buyer or seller — whoever was involved in the transaction — reviews all applications and selects the recipient. No family exclusions. Their community, their choice.

Check Sent to School
SC & CO. LLC sends the $1,000 check directly to the student's college, trade school, or institution on behalf of the student — ensuring the funds go straight to their education.

Who can apply?

This grant is open to students who are residents of the town where SC & CO. LLC completed a transaction. We give back when buyers buy and when sellers sell — every deal creates an opportunity in that community.

There are no family restrictions or exclusions. The buyer or seller selects whoever they believe deserves the award.

  • Current high school seniors (graduating year)
  • College students in their 1st or 2nd year
  • Trade school students in their 1st or 2nd year
  • Must be a resident of the community where the home was purchased or sold
  • Rolling admission — open 60 days per transaction
  • No family exclusions or restrictions of any kind
Timeline Details

When does an award open? One week after a property closes in a community, SC & CO. LLC opens the grant application for that location.

How long is it open? The application window is open for 60 days from the opening date.

When is the recipient selected? After the 60-day window closes, the buyer or seller reviews all applications and makes their selection.

How is the grant paid? SC & CO. LLC sends a $1,000 check directly to the student's school — college, trade school, or institution — on behalf of the student. Funds go straight to their education.
